Firstly, I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to macramotiv for making this tutorial. It is so very appreciated!!

Now a few details that I figured out on my own that may help someone who comes after me:

1) The knots you will be using are called diagonal half hitch knots and diagonal double half hitch knots. If you’re having a hard time getting the technique down, Google that.

2) As suggested, start out using two different colours: one for the long strings and one for the short strings. The short strings are your working threads; these will stay straight and taut while you use the longer string to make the diagonal half hitch knots. The knot should not flip. By “flip” I mean to reiterate that the short string should always be taut. If the long string is taut, you have flipped the knot.

Also, the long string should always cross behind your working string when starting your half hitch knots.

3) The knot that “closes” each link of the chain should be made with both short strings, so each side of the chain must end with the working (short) string in the middle.

Oh I’m really sorry to see this. I just found your website and am trying to make my first earrings. I found your step by step photos much easier to understand than a video because I’m a newbie. Please keep up the great inspirations and instructions!

Hello Andrea,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Unfortunately, not every tutorial are so clear and best quality, but the steps I think are clear and comprehensible if someone watches the steps at least once more. I just made the photos in hand and tried to make my hands not shaking. Lol.
These days I cannot create more tutorials for a while beside my job and my family, but I hope in the future I will make more and I will be able to create better quality photos as well.
